A Little About Me

Hi, I’m Paul Conchie — a tuba player, composer, and arranger who loves bringing music to life for brass and orchestra.

I studied at both the Junior and Royal Northern College of Music, and I’ve been fortunate to perform with many ensembles, including the National Youth Brass Band of Great Britain.

These experiences helped shape my approach to writing — blending the power and warmth of brass with the emotion and colour of cinematic and film music.

I’m one of the founding members and the tuba player of The Rifters, an eight-piece brass group performing everything from Motown and Beatles classics to modern pop and original music.
